Matthew Ethan Williams shuffled with his new set of keys using one hand and tried them one by one on the double locks to his room. His other hand carried his suitcase and behind and around him were several other luggages, his mom's doing. He'd told her he'd just go buy new ones but his mother had scolded him and talked to him of poor people and hunger in the world. She was an advocate against poverty and hunger. He'd just sat there, feigned complete attention to her words and thought about the recent math problem he seemed to have answered incorrectly in their finals exam and wondered how he had arrive at such a solution. He nodded at regular intervals to make his mom know he was listening.
But she knew better."Matthew Ethan Williams! You will listen to me when I talk to you about these topics because one day, you'll be handling this yourself!"She, again, reprimanded her son, but her eyes betrayed her anger. There was great sadness in them. Her little boy had finally started to look at at things differently. He was moving out. Oh how mature of him. She had then smiled and left the room to get more stuff from anywhere she could get to put in his baggage. She wanted him to still feel at home even from afar, which was just a few states away. Still, she couldn't help worrying about her only child.
The keys dropped from Matt's able hands as he momentarily got distracted by the last few events before he'd left, bringing him back to the present. "Crap," he said out loud, bending over to reach for the keys caught in between his two black bags. As always, being the distractedkindofperson he was, he didn't see the door knob in the path of his head and as soon as he bent down to get the keys, he knocked his head on the knob with such force due to his speed that his head bobbed back and his legs gave way. Lucky the bags were built for such weights as he went tumbling down in a daze.
Stars flew by on the ceiling. His eyes starting to close upon themselves.
