ALISTAIR JAMES WALKER
Name: Alistair James Walker Nicknames: Al, Ali, Alice (as an insult), A.J, gay-j (again, insult), Stair Age: Seventeen Date of Birth: April 25th Grade: Highschool Senior Program: Academic Orientation: he’s not really sure Nationality: America. Polish blood on his mother’s side. Home Town: Philly Play by: Michael Cera
--- AWKWARD. Alistair does not do well with other humans. He’s always been a rather introverted boy, who prefers to do solitary activities. That, and when he went to the first day of kindergarten when he refused to use the letter ‘e’ (it was a valiant effort, and though he was rather intelligent, the five year old just couldn’t do it), he was labelled ‘that weird kid’. A label that seemed to follow him around everywhere. Having limited friends (besides those on the internet) severely hampered his social development. He hasn’t exactly learnt, like his peers, those important lessons you learn as a teenager. Sure, he can learn them now, but he will forever be behind is peers, thus rendering him a really awkward kid.
--- INTELLIGENT. Ali is one smart kid. He always has been. Shame that he has very little ambition driving his smarts. He used to annoy his parents and teachers in school. Getting very good results with very little application. They looked at him and saw so much wasted potential. (His dad likes to remind him often how he COULD be going to a school like MIT, not an arts school) But for Alistair that really didn’t matter. He did things he enjoyed doing. Used his skills and intelligence to create game hacks and custom content. Or reading things for his own enjoyment. School was never really a priority for him, despite his higher brain function. Fear the lazy gamer nerd.
--- KIND. Kind. It’s such a simple word. And it’s perhaps the best word to describe this particular part of the boy. Despite not knowing the social etiquette or what’s the correct way to go about something, his heart is in the right place. He was sort of like a teddy-bear in that respect. He wanted to make people happy, make them smile. Sure, he may have a little trouble with the accomplishment of this. Who knew that de-fragging a friends computer and ‘clearing’ out all the files he didn’t think they needed wasn’t going to go over well? Ali sure didn’t. He tried though, wasn’t that the point?
LIKES: computers, gaming, The Sims, WOW, role-playing, D&D, orange soda, pretty girls (they just don’t tend to like him), collecting TV shows on DVD, junk food of all kinds, writing fan fiction DISLIKES: large groups of people, being out of his comfort zone, strange foods, change, cherries, no internet, being distracted while gaming, coffee scents, NOOBS, being teased, physical activities
Life isn’t always sunshine and puppies for the smart kid. From day dot, Alistair was different. And from day dot, he was teased. Okay, so maybe not day dot. He wasn’t teased when he was a baby or a toddler. His peers at that age didn’t really have the cognitive functions to tease. In fact, his pre-school days were actually not too bad. He was the first (and only) child to the Walker’s, a wealthy family living in a large two-story house in North Philadelphia. Marianne was a rather proactive mother. Keeping her precious child away from all sorts of harm. Where Eddie disagreed thinking the boy needed some dirt and the like to ‘man up’. However, the woman wore the pants in that family.
Between his intelligence and completely protective mother, it was no surprise that when he started school he was the strange awkward kid with his lunch cut up and in separate plastic containers all labelled and highly organized. Even is crisps were taken out of their bag and put in a container. Considering half the other kids had no clue what he was saying half the time, he became an easy target to be picked on. Having very little backbone paired with being rather sensitive only made it much more fun for those teasing him, meaning it continued for most of his school career. Not changing much at all. You’d be surprised how much bully methods don’t change from age seven to seventeen.
Alistair’s lack of experience with relationships has left his sexual orientation rather ambiguous (even to himself). It’s this that has earned him most of his teasing in high school. Because he wasn’t actively trying to bed every girl, the meat heads decided he must have been gay and teased him endlessly about it. Which left Ali feeling rather, confused. What if he was? He honestly wasn’t sure, and from the reactions of people in his life, his peers, even his father (always telling him not to be a poof and man up), Alistair was pre-dispositioned to feel as though being gay is wrong. Which has really stopped him from trying to figure out if he is or not.
BOOM
Hi, I'm NIKKI and I'm A LOT OF YEARS old. I'm A NERD. This is my FOURTH application. I found NO REGRETS, JUST LOVE from A BUM.
