OLIVER THEODORE SAWYER
Name: Oliver Theodore Sawyer Nicknames: None Age: Twenty-Two Date of Birth: July 28, 1988 Grade: College Senior Program: Academic Orientation: Straight Nationality: American Home Town: Los Angeles, CA Play by: Chris Pine
--- RECKLESS Oliver Sawyer is one of those people who just doesn't think before he acts all too often. This results in all sorts of trouble, including injuries, such as breaking his left arm twice, his leg, both his wrists, and multiple concussions. But more importantly, it results in trouble with the law. Although his parents have managed to keep him from doing hard time in prison, Oliver has been arrested twice and spent some time in juvenile detention in high school.
--- PROMISCUOUS From approximately his sophomore year of high school when he lost his virginity, up until about a year ago, Oliver was quite the playboy. What can he say? He likes girls, and they seem to like him. Perhaps it's his badboy attitude or his charming good looks, but it has just been very easy for Oliver to get girls, simply put. But recently he's done away with his manwhorish ways - there are rumors that it's because he was dating a girl in New York, cheated on her, and then was heartbroken when she broke up with him. But who knows? Many people would find it unbelievable that he's a hopeless romantic and instead prefer to think that he's just being more subtle about bedding every girl he can get his hands on.
--- GOOFBALL Above all, Oliver is a huge goofball at heart. Nothing gives him a better natural high than making people laugh -- he thirsts for it. He always loves to be the center of attention, of course, and he will sometimes do very stupid or silly things to stay the center of attention. He really is a nice guy, and it shows in this goofy side of his personality.
--- COCKY If there's one characteristic of Oliver's personality that makes him the most enemies, it's this one. He can be cocky beyond belief sometimes. Most of the time he's joking, but it's hard to tell. Oliver just tends to act like the world revolves around him. Some people think that's part of his charm, but most people... well, most people don't find it so charming.
--- NERDY Nobody really knows this side of Oliver, but he likes to read like nobody's business - mostly fantasy and sci-fi novels. Some people are dumbfounded that he can read, but Oliver is actually quite literate and... wait for it, actually reads on his free time.

Oliver has never known his father, Theodore, because he ran out on he and his mother when Oliver was barely a year old. Ellen Sawyer thought that Theo wanted to be a father, that they would raise a family and be happy, but she was very wrong. So she was left alone in a small apartment in Los Angeles, California, with her baby son, with no job since she'd just recently quit to be a stay-at-home mother. So the first several years of Oliver's life weren't very easy, but he and his mother made it through together. She worked two jobs and he got a job as soon as he could, at age thirteen, part time of course. Oliver and his mother developed a very strong bond living alone together, especially since she home schooled him until eighth grade.
Come junior high, Oliver attended a very large public school in Los Angeles where he learned that he needed to be tough in order to survive, so to speak. He became somewhat of a bully for those few years and had virtually no friends, or if he did, it was only because they were scared of him. But quite honestly, Oliver didn't care. All he really cared about was his mother and helping her out with anything he could, even when she slowly started drinking more and more and more. When he was in eighth grade, Oliver's mother died of alcohol poisoning. He thought it was absolutely the end of the world, but his mother's well-off older sister, who they hadn't spoken to in years because a fall-out, took him in to live with her in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was then that he was enrolled in high school at Emerson.
Not coming from a high-and-mighty upper-class family put a damper on Oliver's high school career. He loved the city of Philadelphia, but school? Not so much. Yeah, he had a few good friends that were actually decent people and didn't only care about someone's social or financial status. But most of the bastards were uptight little rich kids, and Oliver tended to hang out with other locals. He was glad when he finally graduated. For the longest time Oliver wasn't planning on continuing college at Emerson, or at all, but his aunt convinced him to enroll to become a neurosurgeon. Oliver doesn't make a show of it, so sometimes people find it funny that he wants to be a brain surgeon, but he's actually a very intelligent young man, especially when it comes to math and science.
