GRAZIA CAPRICE DE LUCA
Name: Grazia Caprice De Luca Nicknames: Grazie Age: 37 Date of Birth: March 11th Orientation: Heterosexual Nationality: Italian-American Home Town: Brooklyn, New York Play by:Eva Green
--- EMOTIONAL It comes with being Italian, or so Grazia's mother claims. She isn't an instigator, however, she knows how prone she is to getting angry or bursting into tears, so Grazia often bites her tongue and doesn't speak out, but when she does she is very irrational. However, when provoked she becomes a spattering mess of black mascara mixed tears and bombastic defensive shouting. She should know better by now, considering she and Marco have been married nearly 9 years, that he is just hot-headed, but she rarely lets it go. She will either argue just as loudly right back or be reduced into a ball of tears in a corner somewhere. If you upset her, you will know by her quivering lips and how fast water forms in her eyes.
--- MATERNAL Before she became a mother, Grazia was a wild-child that nobody thought could ever be tamed, but now she is far more gentle and understanding. She lives for being a mother and not just to her own children anymore. Considering how compassionate she is able to be, Grazia is often the person people run to for support or advice and whether or not she should, she is happy to be there for them. She hails from a huge family and is accepting of others, inviting them into her home and making them feel welcomed. Like most mothers, she takes more away from caring for others and often forgets to look after herself.
--- HARD WORKING It wasn't always that way. There was a time where all Grazia's life was one big party and she wanted to do as little work as possible in order to get it by. Though she was forced to changed once becoming pregnant with her's and her husband's first born. She had acquired her nursing degree years before and had been working at a hospital in Brooklyn on the emergency floor with hours that were flexiable enough that she could keep up her fun and free lifestyle, but upon moving from New York to Philadelphia and being a full-time mother and wife, she went into Geriatric nursing. Her mornings start as early as 6 AM to pack lunch for her daughter, start breakfast for her family, and make herself up before her daughter and husband wake up, then it's off to work a shift that can last from anywhere from 7 – 19 hours, then come home, sleep for a couple hours, and do it all over again.
--- POSSESIVE Along with being maternal, she's fiercely protective of the people she cares for and can be possessive. Grazia has been caught countless times telling off the women that come too close to her husband or the mothers at school that raise children who are hurtful towards her daughter. She is like a child in a sandbox at the park who refuses to let other children play with her toys.
LIKES: Musicians, cooking, cigarettes, her job, her family, sex, massages, big cities, the beach, running, swimming, and when the house is clean when she comes home. DISLIKES: Fighting, dogs, crying, gore films, ice cream, headaches, people without manners, taking orders, ageing, bratty children, stuck-up women, having her accent mocked.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to an exclusively Italian (Sicilian) family, Grazia Caprice Nucci was always a wild-child. The youngest of five, she grew up listening to her parents and grandparents squabble in their native tongue, wearing hand-me-downs, stealing her three brother's records, using her older sister's make-up, and stuffing her bra. Grazia always had a thing for music and it seemed like she was almost born to be a groupie since she herself had little to no musical ability.
Once she was 15, she would work at her family's bakery in NoLita after school (which she spent most of her time smoking in the girl's room and kissing guys under the bleachers), serving customers and packaging orders, but when the weekend came Grazia was all about finding local bands to listen to. She had a string of non-important boyfriends and flings with musicians that never lasted longer than they necessary.
At 18 (she finally quit smoking for the first time), finally enrolled in University and working towards being accepted into the Faculty of Nursing, Grazia still hadn't slowed down. She still helped out at the bakery, but traded her apron in for working part-time as a coat check girl at a popular club in the East Village where she met the first serious boyfriend she ever had, Calvin Holiday. He was a heavily tattooed bald personal trainer who moonlighted as a drummer for a rock band with the most seductive lead singer she had ever met. Grazia cared deeply for Calvin, but she was absolutely wild for Marco, the lead singer, and she couldn't help herself from getting involved with him. Once their band broke up, she was faced on the decision of which guy to keep seeing since she was given an ultimatum. There was no real choice though, she already belonged to Marco.
Grazia supported Marco as he continued on with his dream of becoming a musician, doing whatever it took to help him, but once she found out she was pregnant (where she quit smoking for the second time), the whole game changed. It was time to be more serious, so they packed up and moved to Philadelphia where she began to work as geriatric nurse and her husband started teaching at Emerson Academy.
“I had such a good time tonight.” On some kind of high, Grazia grinned while looking out the window of his truck on her side. She could still see her reflection, the basic glow of it, through the glass and the make-up seemed to last the long car ride and the entire night.
Grabbing her attention, she felt Austin's hand cup her knee through her dress and smiling down at his fingers, she placed her much smaller hand on his and massaged it for a moment, before showing him her smile by fully staring upward.
“Thank you for coming. I know it's not your scene, but I really had fun with you.” Grazia, usually cold, bold, and blunt, said in a tepid and sweet voice as she was completely sincere. When alone with someone, she could be benevolent and affectionate, there was some kind of pressure that came with being out in the open and that was usually when she reverted to being harsh and cut-throat, but right now, just her and Austin, she felt genuinely happy. The kind of happiness you fear because you don't know how long it will last or what it could do to you.
Looking at the clock herself, Grazia giggled and shook her head before opening up her clutch to pull out her shiny Hello Kitty themed cell phone in order to text one of her brothers.
“It's fine.” She assured Austin. “I don't really have a curfew.” Just like the rule she wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend for two more years, Grazia had a tendency to find a way around barricades. Her brothers knew where she went and they knew who she was going with, so Grazia didn't really see a problem with it. As she scrolled through her contacts to find Lyric's name, since it came first in the list of her brother's, she felt Austin's frantic motions, one right after the other and her eyes screamed open as they looked up.
“Austin, stop!” She screamed, way too close to the license plate of the Jeep in front of them. BDB 480. “Austin!” Grazia let out another shrill as he swerved in front of moving traffic, her side slipping into the door. She put out one palm to hold the window and keep the side of her head from bashing into it.
“What happened?!” She demanded to know, examining her boyfriend with her craziest stare and catching her breath. Grazia threw her phone back into her clutch and completely forgot about sending her brother a text message.
