WE'LL ALL LOSE IN THE END no you don't get another shot Times like these, he was bored out of his mind. He felt as if he had nothing to do. Texting everyone, but everyone repeating how busy they seemed to be. It was like the world was plotting against him to see how mad they could really drive him. Ivan wanted to do something all the time. All the time and energy spent all of his life from jobs to girlfriends, he couldn't just sit down and relax. He was currently in his dorm, having just taken a long shower. His hair was up and everywhere at the top of his head, but since he was going to be wearing a hat with it anyways, he supposed it didn't matter. Leaving the house without his house was like leaving the house with no other clothes on. It just felt so odd. His hat was his shield. If shows have taught him anything, its to never leave without it.
With a groan, he realized he left his tv on to Jersey Shore. What a bunch of douchebags. Ivan was guilty of watching it, but it was only to laugh at the stupid whores and manwhores. Not that he should talk, since half of what they did he did as well. He just didn't make as big of a deal out of it as they did. It was the world's problem. They exploded everything. Ice melting: holy fuck, it must be the world coming to end by drownding us in a never ending sea of water. Found out cigarettes cause cancer, everyone flips and starts trying to make them illegal. Ivan did smoke, but he only did it out of impulse. It was completely natural to him. He grew up with it, and the habit never really thought of leaving him. He shut the TV off. He looked down at the towel he wrapped around himself and shook his head. This was not going to do.
So he decided to try to take a walk around the city. Get a bit of fresh air and perhaps meet some entertaining people there. It was hard to not being able to find someone, but congrats to him, he had found it. His drawers swung open with a creak and he started to dig throughout his wardrobe. The first shirt he picked up was a completely black shirt with the big white letters spelling 'RIOT' on it. Then pulled on a pair of jeans and picked out a red plaid jacket with gray on the inside layer. Not exactally a fashion statment, but Ivan could really care less about looking like all the faggots posing in the magazines. Clothes were clothes. Then he looked around his cluttered room, finding a black and white spattered hat. That'll do. Finally, he picked up his blue phone with bright orange headphones, putting his phone to the music.
He actually didn't need to have a phone mixed with an mp3, but it was a childhood thing. Use to be very poor, so could only afford one of them. Though he had plenty to spend now, it was rather difficult mentally to go out and get two of them. Besides, it was easier to keep track of one. Keeping track of his just his phone seemed like a chore all on it's own. When he was wasted or high, it was even harder. So he stuck to the basics, just on how easier it was. Walking outside, he started on his way, wandering all the way to the middle of the city. Found a couple of hobos who asked for change. A couple of pretty girls. Nothing really in perticular.
He heard 'bottoms up' on his phone and started mouthing it to people in the street. Some would stare while others would contiune to ignore him. What did he care? He started dancing in the street, feeling as if he had the proper moves. He wasn't all that bad of a breakdancer, despite him not being all black and everything. With a sideways smile, he spent less time paying attention to what was around him or what he was about to run into. Twice he almost collided with a fenced tree, and another one this kid with a leash on him. A bored Ivan caused so much trouble. Giovana stared up at the ceiling as she laid down on her mattress. She tapped her fingers on her stomach, humming the lyrics to 'hide and seek' by imogen heap. Her life was so boring. When would she go out an create some fun for herself? Giovana was the type of girl to play it safe. She'd wear a helmet when bicycling. She's wear knee-pads when going to skate. She'd wear a jacket and a coat if it was too cold outside. She took as many of her vitamin pills her 'mom' wanted her to. Ever since her 'childhood' her parents wanted her to just feel safe, and secure. Giovana was big on that feeling. She grew up in L.A, with a drug selling dad and a prostitute mother. They made Gio's life complete hell. She never had the things she wanted growing up, and then the Harpers adopted her. The process was long and tricky, but it was worth it. Sure she was entering a house with a lot of rules, but she didn't care. Her parents now were better than the parents that gave life to her. Did people know about Gio's adoption? Only her best friend, she'd never tell anyone about the horrors of her childhood. She almost tried to convince herself that it didn't happen. She did find herself in curiosity at times. She wondered how her mom and dad were doing, and how they looked like.
Gio shook the thoughts away, sitting up in her black and blue dress. She didn't know what she'd do today, or why she even bothered getting ready. She decided to head out, walk around he city. To where? She didn't even know. She grabbed her shoulder purse, however. She might stop by a few of the sideline stores, get a few things for Delilah? She kept her i-pod plugged into her ears as the song switched from 'hide and seek' to 'love is forever' by Muse. She exited the building and made her way off the campus into the crowded streets. There were people talking on the phone acting as if they were so busy. Giovana rolled her eyes. There were ton of those people walking around. They acted as if nothing was more important than the conversation they were having on the phone. Then you had the single mothers with the crazy toddlers. Ugh, control your kid lady. She thought. They were adorable, however.
Then you had the old perverts that stared any young teenage girl down with a pretty face and nice perfume on. She rushed her way passed those guys. Yeah, there were a lot of different types of people in Philadelphia. Okay, now what she was seeing so far was the craziest thing she's seen during her whole time of walking around. Was that Ivan? One of Trevor's friends that she personally avoided. Why? Well, he made her feel uncomfortable. Ha, the random people who he was singing to must have felt the exact same way. The guy did amuse her though. She laughed a little as she watched him. When he started to dance around she raised an eyebrow. This guy is crazy.she thought to herself. She would have walked away, hoping he didn't see her, but she had caught his eyes. Damn her! Why did she stare at people so much. She waved at the dancing Ivan. She gave him a small smile, "You're crazy, you know that?" she decided to shout out to him. She then approached him. Why not? She couldn't walk away now and she was bored and he was a great source for entertainment. "I'm actually glad I ran into you, Ivan. Today's been so boring." she said.

WE'LL ALL LOSE IN THE END no you don't get another shot Now he started to sing the lyrics out loud on top of his dancing skills. Sometimes, the headphone would fall out, but with a smooth move, he would gently place it back in. He had the phones that curved around his ear, and they still somehow managed to fall out. It wasn't a big deal, but after one song, it could get annoying. He opened his eyes to make sure that he wasn't going to plow into some poor innocent old lady and accidently kill her (hated when that happened) He found something much more better. He froze and pulled his hat a little bit for a better view. Oh, out of all the people, it was Giovana. He knew her with his wingman, Trevor. She was hot. Got to know her a little bit and she was even more beyond that.
She seemed to make eye contact with him as well. Ivan kind of knew her as a shy girl, so he was a little taken back when she said something to him. He didn't show it in his face though. He just gave a half smile at her. Ivan wasn't really the one to hold back anything, so he went up to her and gave her a large hug. Since he was tall, his hugs tended to be very much like wrapping a blanket around someone. Just because he was six four and the people he hugged were shorter more then most of the time. He squeezed and let go with a large smile. So Ivan had a little crush on this girl. It did concern him a little bit that she was still in high school while Ivan was a college student, but she was a senior. Eighteen or close to it. Not illegal forever.
Crazy. Yeah. It was a miracle no one had figured out that he was insane. He had figured someone someday was going to come to his doorstep to take him to the pretty white building. Which is also why he figured out how he was going to escape. The route was hanging on his refrigerator for a while, but it freaked some chicks out. He only did it to be funny anyway. Not to mention he was pretty drunk so the route to escaping looked like a bunch of scribbles from a three year old. "Yeah, I'm prepared for the day someone from the goverment figures it out. Don't worry, I have a plan written on my fridge." He said with a smile. Knowing that it was actually mostly true. He only kept a straight face when he was kidding.
He was glad he ran into her too. He was bored as well. Giovana was quite beautiful. Ivan really was starting to like her. She just seemed really different then all the other sluts he had been with lately. The high pitched big boobed girls who's only talents included drinking, lapdancing, and riding Ivan like he was a horse. With her she seemed so much more then that. Ivan did research when he found hot girls, so of course he asked around. It was a lot easier with his small town, as all he had to do was ask the entire class and they would know who it was. However, he managed to snoop a little to at least know what he was dealing with. The rest he wanted to figure it out on his own.
He took a half smile, "Shit, thats no good. Mine has too." Then he contiuned to walk, though side by side with her. This was a perfect time. Times before this, she was always with someone. Now he finally got to at least talk to her alone. "Well, whats going on with life? Tell Ivan all about it." He said very causually. This was usually how he got people talking. He wasn't really scared of telling any stories and most of the time he would actually start to listen. He was sober, not hungover, so today so far besides the bordeom was a good day. When Ivan gave her the big hug he gave she didn't have time to grow to feel uncomfortable. It was so quick. She just hugged him back, she could feel her feet lift off the ground a little. The guy was freakishly tall. Gio wasn't a midget she was a good 5'6. Giovana was eighteen so she had friends in different ages. She had older friends and younger friends. When you were a student at Emerson Academy it was hard not to befriend people around different ages. The Academy was both a college campus and high school campus. There were so man different personalities one person could run into. This school was pretty diversed. There were lots of different types of people with different types of talents, preferences, interests, and so on. Was there some one like Giovana Harper? No. Out of all the wide variety of students she couldn't find one she really connected with.
She laughed at what Ivan said. Yeah right she thought. The only thing was that it was true. He really did have a plan written on his fridge apparently. Gio didn't know about it. The thought of him having one was hilarious enough. Ivan had to be one of the funniest guys at Emerson Academy. "Okay Ivan, good." she laughed. "If they locked you up this school would be so dull and boring." she said. It was true, though. Who else walked down the street singing in peoples faces and dancing out of nowhere. No other than Ivan Suarez. Was Gio aware of the crush Ivan had on her? Sort of. Well, she knew he thought she was attractive but that was about it. She didn't know just how much he was crushing on her. Gio just thought it was phase, and it would pass soon enough.
"Well, I don't believe that. When do you ever have boring days?" she asked him, sincerely. Ivan was a fun guy, she didn't think he's ever experienced 'boring'. Giovana, on the other hand embraced 'boring' very well. She didn't take risks very much. She didn't have a lot of past experiences that she could think about that were out of the ordinary. She was a plain jane. She was just living life day by day, always worrying about the consequences of things. She was the complete opposite of Ivan. He drunk time to time, and she's never had a sip of alcohol. He partied, she liked to stay in her room. If Giovana had ever taken a risk with anyone, and told some one about it, she highly doubted anyone would even believe her. She was that much of a 'goody two shoes' kind of girl.
"Life?" she shrugged. "Same as it always is. Boring." she said. "Oh, one of my friends dragged me to one of these clubs the other day, that was dreadful." she said, trying to think of some things to say. "Lots of homework" she added. "That's about it. Lame, I know." she sighed. She hated when people asked her 'what was going on', she never had anything interesting to say."What about you?" she asked. She was pretty sure Ivan had something interesting to say. He always had a story for her. No matter how ridiculous it was. As much as she would have tried to avoid Ivan on a regular day, today she just needed some one else company. "What are you doing out here anyways? " she asked, glancing over at one of the small bakery stores, she took his hand "Come on." she said. She was in the mood for something sweet. She lead him inside the small little bakery. It smelt so good inside

WE'LL ALL LOSE IN THE END no you don't get another shot No shit. If they locked him up, the entrie world would be at an end. It was a wonder they got along before he was born. His theory was that there was some other guy named Ivan, who he was the afterlife of. It was something he actually had a dream about, hense why he collected the thought. There was no way this world would function without him. He tended to keep his cockyness to himself, but sometimes, it was nice to talk about it. "That was my general thought. Hense the escape plan. I just hope when the time comes I can read it." He said with a scratch of his head, remembering the red lines over the purple lines and the key in the corner that marked 'red lines to get the fuck out of there.'
At least he wasn't the only one to think that he was the life of the party. He took a half smile at her words about not having a boring day. "Yep. Sometimes it does snow in hell. But I was having a boring day about..." He took this time to get out his phone and gently push the screen so that it would come to life and tell him the time. The song was ending finally, switching to another rap song he had, showing the time in the very top corner. He put it back and said, "Ten minutes ago." As ten minutes ago, all he was doing was in his room listening to himself blink the time away. Was it ten minutes ago? He wasn't sure. Time seemed to run by so extremely slowly when you were having no fun. Maybe thats why classes took so long.
For some reason, Ivan just had a hard time believing that Giovana actually had a 'boring life' as she liked to call it. Well she had to at least had all kinds of guys hitting on her excitment. Or if she had said yes in the past, not really wanting to discuss it with anyone. Who knew how all of that worked. "Doll, how can you look like that and still have a boring life? People have got to be looking everywhere at you with rather envy or desire." Ivan read that on the side of a box once, so he figured it would be the right time to place it into conversations. Every once in a while, Ivan had his moments of big heart to heart conversations, but they were very much so once in a blue moon.
Being dragged to a club was pretty exciting. Ivan might have had past boring times, but when it was girls like Giovana, it had to be something. He suddenly perked an interest, "You? A party? Is there some secret life that no one knows about?" He teased, asking the questions all so seriously. As he was half serious. Also slightly jealous, since he was the one that kind of wanted to take her to a club. He had 'corrupted' girls before. Or at least made them do something more out of the ordinary then they would ever think to do. It was just one of his things with growing up in the wrong crowd and falling for the goody two shoe type. "Shit, stole my idea." He muttered, half kidding and half true.
Homework was another thing that he was doing. It was actually something he usually did the day before it was due, as though hard work payed off later, lazyness payed off now. He would rather have fun now then try to 'do his best' Academics wasn't really his main point. He wasn't stupid, but he defintally got into the school for more of his music talents then being smarter then everyone else. He kept his grades above a D, but a lot were Cs and Bs. It didn't really bother him. So he just shrugged at her question, "About the same. Trying to get into new stuff." He said with a weird facial expression, turning his mouth to the side. Then he looked over at her, then at the bakery they were being lead into.
He actually wasn't a personal fan of sweets and baked goods. He loved candy, but chocolate and stuff. It was a girl thing. His hand did squeeze Giovana's though. As it was probably going to be one of the only times he would be allowed to do that. What was he doing here? "I was told that I need a better life then to stare at my ceiling with nothing but a towel on. So I decided to come outside." He said with as smooth flow as possible, then asking her, "You... meeting anyone up here?" He asked, desperatly hoping that it was going to be a no. Gio laughed when he said he hoped he could read his escape plan when the time would come down to it. She did know some people in class who couldn't read their own hand writing at times because they'd write so quickly. Or they just had sloppy hand writing. Giovana raised a brow when he said sometimes it does snow in hell. Ivan had a funny way of saying things. However, Gio didn't think he was drunk. Sometimes his head was just up in the clouds. Being that hell wasn't fun at all. But it could be used in different ways. Gio was one to over think things, so this behavior was normal for her. "I don't think hell and fun mix very well, I think i'd want it to snow in hell." she added on. People did use 'hell' a lot to reference things in their speech, Gio did believe in a heaven and a hell, but she didn't think to deeply about it. The thought about all those types of things scared her. Ever since her adoption she was being raised by a somewhat religious family. Probably adding on to the reason she was such a goody two shoed girl. It was all about how she had been raised.
Then they started to talk about Gio and her boring life. How sweet she thought about what Ivan had said. He called me a 'doll' she said, laughing a little bit at her thoughts. She, of course, wasn't familiar with the phrase he was saying. She thought those words were completely original. "Thanks, but no." she shook her head. "I'm everyone's shadow, I'm under the radar. People only notice me when I'm on sage." she said. "But in real life? No, not at all." she said. But hey - It was nice to know that Ivan thought she was pretty. It was nice being complimented from time to time. She didn't get compliments a lot. So whenever she got them she was thankful.
She laughed when he asked if there was a secret life he didn't know about that she lived. Nope. Well, she has done a few things that weren't up to what people believed to be her standards, but other then that she wasn't hiding anything. "Yep - I'm a real party animal. I just have to get into the moment." she lied, shaking her head a little. "Kidding." she said. "No, of course there's not. I do think people are trying to 'break' me though. All I have to say to that is, good luck." she smirked. There were a lot of people that thought they could make a 'good girl go bad', she didn't think it was that easy. Especially not with her. It would take a lot of effort to get Giovana to do something out of the ordinary. Going to a club wasn't enough to change her, it just persuaded her that she didn't want to be one of the average partiers because there was no benefit. She remembered walking trough the dance floor, just thankful she wasn't looking like some of the other ridiculous girls.
There had to be other ways to have fun. She looked at him when he mentioned his idea was stolen. "Oh no, not you too." she said somewhat sarcastically. She knew Ivan made a bad influence, but that's only if a person allowed him to be. Then they had got on the topic about school, she nodded at his response. "Yeah, that would be good for you. Expand your Horizon or what not." she said. When they were inside the bakery she let go of his hand. It felt weird holding his hand, or anyone's hand for to long of a time. Staring at the ceiling listening to music? Well, that was something Gio was very familiar with. Except, she didn't lay around in a towel. When he asked if he was meeting up with anyone here, she couldn't help but notice the tone in his voice. "Nope." she said. "I just want something to snack on, i'm starving." she said standing in line. It wouldn't be too long of a wait. She looked over at one of the customers, ordering vanilla this and vanilla that. "Eww, is he trying to kill himself?" she asked herself out loud. She hated vanilla flavored things, they was gross to her.

WE'LL ALL LOSE IN THE END no you don't get another shot Damn, why was everyone so literal? Ivan didn't really have a large opinion on hell, but he figured if there was one, he would drink himself to it. He wasn't all that worried about it. Looking towards the future wasn't really his speciality. Almost everything he did, he did for the thought of wanting to do it now. Who gave a fuck if he smoked himself to death? It didn't really comprehend that it was going to kill him someday. Nor did he really care. He had gotten so many lectures before that now they all started to melt together into one big fuzzy memories of zoning out. If someone lectured again, it was his automatic instinct to turn it off and start to think about other things. After a while, people that knew him knew not to do it anymore.
He rolled his eyes, "Hell's not too bad. It's only if you know the right people." he said as if he meant all what he said. He was about to add something, but he decided it would probably be better if he kept his mouth shut. In the past, he had said some dirty comment to a very respectable girl, and that was the end of that relationship. So now he kept the majority of his thoughts to himself. His theory was that every guy thought like he did, but it was only a matter of following it or keeping it to themselves. It was the only way it made sense. Sometimes he managed to say whatever it was out loud a little too loud, but that was on rare occasions.
All these pretty girls thought they were in the shadows, but they were more noticed that most people thought. Some guys cared about getting sex, which was really hard with the shy girls who didn't get that kind of attention a lot. "People notice you. You just intimidate them." He said quite frankly. He had this talk with a lot of people, so he figured she was going to ask why. Before she could do so, he saved her the trouble, "I can't speak for chicks, but girls like you make guys really watch themselves. They have to make sure they don't fuck up because you have respect to slap them across the face if the wrong move is made. Too much work for a majority of lazy ass people." Ivan was just one of the guys that was really up for a challenge.
He looked over at her, thinking perhaps she was serious at first, and he responded in a small laugh. "Oh shit, I knew it." He gave her a light shove, making sure nothing barely touching her, as he had accidently knocked over a light weight before. Not that Ivan could really tall. For his extreme height, he was actually very light. Thin and tall. Another reason why it didn't take him as long as it should have to get completely wasted. Probably a little better for his heath. It didn't surprise him that people were trying to corrupt her. He did that. Not on purpose, but he didn't slow down anything when he dated, which usually meant they were around. He took a half smile, "Alright, I'll take that challenge." Half kidding and teasing, but half serious. It wouldn't be too bad to corrupt her. Not fully. Just a little off the innocent title she gathered herself.
Ivan titled his hat up a little bit at the you too. He just shrugged and laughed a little bit. He probably wasn't even close to being the only one either. Anyone social was going to be talking to Giovana. Even if Ivan didn't know her through Trevor, he probably would have talked to her anyways. At his trying new things, he chuckled a little bit. "I don't think it would be considerably good new things." He only laughed because it was slightly unconfortable with the fact last week he was wasted and decided to try some weird new unknown drug. It fucked him up bad. He kind of wanted to find it again though, as that was Ivan. Probably was finding the guy that had it originally.
There was a wanting to stand on the table and start dancing like a stripper when she said no, but he contained himself. Instead, he just made sure she didn't let go of the hand. This was at least some good progress. "Well, just pick out what you want. I'll buy." he told her. Most girls aruged they would pay for it, but in the end, they would always loose because he would just grab out a fifty, tell the cashier they could keep the change. The math on that was simple. Ivan spent his money like none other. His job helped him with that, however. As his mother was afraid they would go back to being poor again. As she commented, he looked over at her. Oh, she wasn't talking to him. Usually when someone said that, it was to his reference. "Just looks like he's getting some vinallia bread... pretty good shit." As Ivan wasn't really a picky eater. Gio decide to ignore his comment about hell, there was no point on continuing on about it. She was going to stick to what she said before that and leave it there. She wasn't one to get to argumentative about things. Especially if that other person was joking. Ivan was clearly joking, so it wasn't a big deal. She didn't need to stress the topic more than she already had. She just shrugged, laughing a little bit. Connections in hell? Maybe. Giovana smiled at what Ivan said. It was actually really kind of...sweet? She didn't expect it from him. He seemed like a guy that didn't give too many compliments unless he was expecting something out of it. She really hope he wasn't, because he'd be upset at his results. She wasn't that kind of girl. That didn't mean she didn't like compliments however. She was like a dry sponge. She never got too much of it, so she soaked in as much as she could.
She shook her head. Clearly flattered, "Yeah right." she said. "How do I 'intimidate' them?" she asked. Then he went into a small rant about how she could intimidate guys and all. It just got her laughing, blushing a little. Ugh, this was ridiculous. Ivan was a pretty nice guy under that immature exterior of his. Would she ever date him? Probably not. She had trust issues with people, and considering his party reputation. It wouldn't work. Besides, he was close friends with her ex boyfriend. That would be just plain wrong. "So, let me get this straight..guys like me, they are just to lazy to put in effort?" she asked. She laughed a little, shaking her head. That was sort of hard to believe so she'd stick to her old assumption.
Taking Gio up as a challenge would be difficult. Very difficult. She was hard to crack unless she was tempted to the core. Other than that, not really. Okay, maybe that was a lie. She put up a front like she would be so hard to break, but no ones really tried it. Only a few people, they haven't succeeded, but that didn't mean she was the hardest challenge out there. She was difficult to an extend. You couldn't get her to sleep with you out of anywhere. She was sort of a prude. She wasn't wild at all, just leave Freddie Fairfax out of the equation and she was completely innocent. "Good luck, seriously. You'll need it." she told Ivan.
When he said that expanding his horizon wouldn't involve good things she raised an eyebrow. "Why not?" she asked. There was nothing wrong with opening yourself up to new experiences and new personalities. Once they were inside the bakery, Ivan agreed to join. She smiled a little. Was she supposed to pass this up? "Thanks." she said. As the line moved forward she ordered a chocolate muffin. Chocolate was pretty much her favorite flavor and she hadn't ate anything all day. The girl at the cash register was looking at her odd. In fact she had a fro-hawk or whatever that thing was. It was sort of awkward. She hated when people stared at her like that. She stepped a bit closer to Ivan, her shoulder brushing against his. Maybe she'd think he was her boyfriend and leave her alone. Gio ha no lesbian tactics at all. "Do you want anything?" she asked Ivan. Smiling at him, as she looked at him. She could feel the girls eyes burning in the side of her face. Eww, this was awkward. She just wanted to hurry up and get out of here. Giovana was socially awkward and didn't do well with flirting, from neither a guy or a girl.

WE'LL ALL LOSE IN THE END no you don't get another shot She never commented, but moved on the itimidation. Ivan personally wasn't that easily frightned or spooked away, but he knew a lot of others were. Not that he really cared what other people did or how they treated girls. It was obvious that it would make him a hypocrite if he took a bother to what other people did if it wasn't good for them. That was actually one of the best things about Ivan. He might have judged a little bit, but it wasn't like he really based the person off of his judgement. He got along with just about everyone. It was the people that didn't get along with him he truely had a problem with. The ones that looked down on him because of his activties. People like that he wanted to jab right in the fucking mouth.
When he was done with his long explanation, she seemed to sum it up. The way she said it made it sound like she didn't believe a word he said. Oh, Ivan knew very well what the real truth behind all of that was. Guys gave attention to pretty slutty girls. It just made sense. Ivan happened to be the one that just payed attention to all of them. In many ways like that, he was a bit of a whore, but in his own eyes, he just wanted to spread the love. "Yeah, pretty much. What can I say? We're a bunch of very lazy ass people." Sometimes it really did bother how lazy rich people could be, which was what was this place was filled with. A lot of them didn't know a hards day of work when they saw it. Coming from a guy who had to work two jobs throughout high school, it didn't make him too happy.
Making it verbal, he simply said without any trace of emotion in his voice, "Most of these guys don't even know a good hard days work." It wasn't said angrily, but he felt it bubbling. There wasn't a lot of things that Ivan really actually didn't like out of people. A quality that he couldn't stand was exactally that. He could go on and on about how awful it was, but he prefered to try to stay away from all of that. Having everything brought to someone on a silver platter was right up there with everyone thinking Ivan was a Mexican and asking for his green card. He turned to Giovana and smiled at her good luck to the challenge. "Haven't you heard? Miracles happen girlie." he told her with a wink.
He made a very soft smile at her. Obviously too naive to think about a lot of the things that he did. All the drugs he was trying. He didn't really feel like telling the girl he was trying to get with that he was trying all these new drugs and it wasn't good for him. So to respond, he simply shrugged without saying a word. It was like his way of saying 'nevermind'. He didn't think he could really bring himself to explain it to her, though usually he was very open about that kind of stuff. The people he was open with usually already knew though. That was the difference. He looked at the girl at the counter and smiled. One of his absolute best friends of all time had been a lesbian. Three guys and a lesbian equalled the best fucking time ever. So of course, he didn't find anything of it. Just gave her a twenty for a five dollar chocolate muffin, telling her to keep the change.
The girl was looking at Giovana. Good taste. He looked over at Giovana to see she had moved closer and looked a little akward. Ivan was pretty good at reading signals like that. He saw this little part as a word called opportunity. The hand that was holding hers suddenly let go and went over her shoulder. He wasn't really worried about crossing boundaries. If it really bothered Giovana, she would have to say something. It wasn't his goal to make her unconfortable or pressure her into anything, but he was a guy. She asked if he wanted anything and he shook his head "I'm actually not a huge fan of desserts." he admited, taking her muffin and going to sit down at a little table. He looked over at the girl, who didn't seem as interested now that Ivan was involved.
He picked a little corner one right by the window, sitting on one side. Normally, he would have sat next to her, but he figured it would be a little weird for her. Ivan just liked to have a lot of contact. The simple holding hands a lot of the time wasn't good enough for him. He wanted her against him or a shoulder against her while holding her hand, leaning over to steal a kiss or two. Ivan hadn't dated in a really long time, so it was the wanting, but he knew he could easily control himself. He gave her a light smile and asked, "Not a fan of chicks checking you out?"
