--- CONTROLLING To say Julian has opinions on how things should be and enjoys having full control is an understatement. As a little boy, he used to throw a fit if he wasn't the leader of the pack and if his group didn't follow his instructions. His childhood psychologist told his mother it was because of being put in a position of power at such a young age, feeling like the man of the house after his dad died, he craved having control over something. Julian is prone to losing his temper and throwing a shitfit when things don't go his way. If he doesn't care about you, it's fine, but if you're important to him and you don't listen to him, be prepared to get an earful.

--- PROUD Unless upset, Julian can be seen sporting a sneaky little smirk on his face. He is confident in the things he does and he feels he does them well. You won't hear Julian put himself down, he is proud of his accomplishments and how far he's come in his life. He will rarely be the first one to apologize or give in, and he is not a fan of having to beg, though he's been seen on his knees once or twice.

--- PASSIONATE When Julian decides to do something, he puts everything he has into it, body and soul. He is intensely passionate and aims for results in the things he believes in. He is constantly cooking up ideas and setting new goals for himself and then found working mercilessly towards them. He doesn't know the meaning of 'half-assed' and in many ways, this is his favourite quality that he possesses.

LIKES: Reading the newspaper, motorcycles, working out, writing, his family, steak dinners, the feeling of accomplishment, action movies, snowboarding, Subway, and sex.
DISLIKES: Clowns, candy, being bossed around, poor writing, Twilight, crying girls, obnoxious guys, steroid junkies, mini vans, asking for directions, tea, and warm weather.

The eldest son to two Canadian winter Olympians, his mother a silver medal winner for downhill skiing and his father a multiple gold champion for snowboarding, Julian was practically born on the slopes. He grew up seeing his parents more often on cereal boxes than on television and he used to pray that one day that would change and they would be around more.

When he was eight, Julian's wish came true. Well, it sort of came true. His mother was suddenly living at home 24/7, taking a year off training and publicity, when his father was knocked unconscious after a Haakon flip gone awry during an early morning training session. Julian's father was knocked unconscious after landing on his head and died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital due to severe internal bleeding from a brain hemorrhage. After the funeral, Julian became the man of the house and always acted like a father to his two younger siblings, a brother and a baby sister.

His mother moved them out to Philadelphia after her last Winter Olympics game, unable to continue training after the death of her husband, and she took a job as a gym teacher at Emerson Academy. It was around this time that Julian became his love of writing and started to work on his first passion. It became apparent to his mother that he had what it took to be one of the many talented students at the school.

While finishing high school, he met his now-fiance Cory, and though he and Cory have a history of fighting like bulls with one another, they are truly in love and one day hope to marry and start a life together. He, as an editor of a successful newspaper, and if she as, whatever she decides to be. That's one of their many issues, Julian wishes she would hurry up and figure her goal out.
