FISHER DAYTON BRANDT
Name: Fisher Dayton Brandt Nicknames: Fish, Brandt, Bran Age: 14 Date of Birth: November 31 Grade: Freshman Program: Arts Orientation: Heterosexual Nationality: American Home Town: Pierre, South Dakota Play by: Dylan Minnette
--- CURIOUS No matter where he goes, Fisher is always wondering about something. He's always dying to know more, to investigate. He thirsts for knowledge and is never out of questions. Those who know him well can recognize the glint that comes into his eye when he sees something he's dying to know more about. This happens very often and so they'll become used to it. --- IMAGINATIVE Fisher has a bit of an overactive imagination. He may jump to conclusions, even foolish ones, because his mind tends to skip over logic. He also spends a good amount of time daydreaming. He may drift off in a class or even just strolling down the hallway; Sometimes it leads to a waste of time and unproductivity of Fisher's part. --- SCATTERBRAINED Fisher's head is all over the place; he thinks at the speed of light, skipping from one idea to the next, and sometimes things get lost in the mix. He tends to forget things very easily -- dates, deadlines, tasks, etc. He's also very cluttered and can't always keep track of his stuff. He doesn't mind much, though. --- CAREFREE Fisher isn't one to worry or stress; he's very easygoing. He loves to have fun and relax, and he doesn't always take things seriously -- take schoolwork, for instance. --- SENSITIVE Fisher isn't big on sharing personal feelings, experiences, or details. These are touchy subjects for him. He is, however, very understanding and may open up to those that he knows and trusts. He is a bit scared to show his sensitive side, but he does enjoy deep conversations with friends that he knows he can trust.
LIKES: sketching, drawing, art, museums, science, snow, friends, laughter, happy endings, cats, rollercoasters, happy families, christmas DISLIKES: slasher movies, popcorn, newspaper, rainy days, facebook, dirty dishes, nail-biting, bad hygiene, debbie downers, jumping rope, bad parenting
Fisher's past isn't terrible. He's not scarred for life or mentally altered because of it. He is, however, ashamed and hurt by it, and it is for this reason that he does not speak of it. He knows it is not as shocking and gruesome as others may have experienced, but he knows how it makes him feel and he doesn't like it. Therefore, he stays away from the conversational topic of family matters.
Fisher's mother was 23 when she became pregnant with him. He was to be her third child. The problem was that his mother only wanted two children. She could only afford two children. And, having just gotten her second past potty-training, she was not ready to put up with months of diapers and little-to-no-sleep for a stupid mistake.
Fisher's father was 28, and he was working to support his entire family. He was furious at the new that a new baby would be coming, for it meant he would have to work even harder. But with no money for abortion and not enough responsibility to find a better way, Fisher's parents decided to have the baby. Their plan was to drop him off outside the local adoption agency as soon as they were discharged from the hospital -- but with all the congratulating and questioning from the hospital staff, plus the urging of a local parenthood organization, they felt trapped. Lazy and unwilling as they were, Fisher's parents had consciences, and they were going to give this baby a shot.
Five years later, however, they fell back on their original plan. Their financial situation had declined severely, and they were treating and raising Fisher as if it was all his fault. Eventually they were evicted and left town; On their way out, they left Fisher on the doorstep of the local adoption organization.
Well, with a cute face and creative spirit, young Fisher was adopted fairly quickly. His adoptive parents were kind and nurturing, and looking for a toddler after their nine-year-old daughter was killed in a car crash. They fell in love with the dark-haired little boy and found him endearing and quite similar to their late daughter.
Fisher grew up with these parents, and loves them more than breathing. They gave him a better life than he could have asked for, and they loved him as their own son. They never had money worries but he has always had some suspicion that they would be incredible people and parents without their wealth.
