The Motor Accidents Claims Redressal Forum said, National Insurance company to pay a car owner claims that is around Rs 3.31 lakh along with compensation of Rs 20000.
Thakkar, a resident of Ghatkopar, had bought an insurance cover for his car and the vehicle was poorly damaged in the floods of July 26, 2005. He got the car repaired in a garage and File a claim by submitting a bill of Rs 3,31,394 to the insurance firm.
The company agreed to pay him only Rs 1,78,223 in a form of a coupon after making definite dedications from the claim. Aggrieved, the car owner moved the Forum.
